The company is a private entity primarily engaged in the manufacture of orujillo, a residual by-product of the olive oil sector. Its products contain high lignin, cellulose and hemicellulose content and represent a valuable source of lignocellulosic materials. The olive stone part of the orujillo could be transformed by liquefaction into new oligomer compounds that can be used for the formulation of resins, foams and other materials for the polymer industry. The company was founded in 1999 and is based in Pinos-Puente, Spain. Moreover, it operates as a subsidiary of the Spanish-based, Aceites Sierra Sur, a major producer and supplier of extra virgin olive oil.
